Tiffani Thiessen is ready to tie the knot. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum has just become engaged to her boyfriend of a year, actor Richard Ruccolo. Ruccolo popped the question Friday, according to Thiessen's publicist, Elizabeth Much. Much was mum on details of the proposal. She also said a wedding date has not been set.
Thiessen, 27, and Ruccolo, 29, have been an official Hollywood item since meeting last year on the set of the now defunct ABC sitcom Two Guys and a Girl. Ruccolo was one of the leads, and Thiessen had a recurring guest spot. Click Here to Read the Full Story! 
WEDDING OFF!
Just a few months before they were supposed to get married,
Josh Brolin and Minnie Driver have called it quits. The couple decided mutually to split with neither one dumping the other. They felt their careers were taking them in different directions and maintaining a good marriage would be next to impossible. Personality-wise, they were very different and Brolin had a tenedency to be jealous of friendships Driver had with her male friends. Brolin is the son of actor James Brolin and step-son to Barbara Streisand...Looks like Barbara won't get to run the wedding show afterall huh?  SENTENCING FOR SHANNON DOHERTY
Shannon Doherty, famous for dishing the dirt, will now
get a chance to do it properly. A California court has
sentenced the 30-year-old former star of "Beverly Hills
90210" and "Charmed" to five days of picking up garbage
and pulling weeds. Court records show that Doherty's
sentence stems from arrests on charges of driving while
drunk. Nearly a year ago she received a reduced sen-
tence after an initial arrest. At that time the judge
warned the actress about future drinking. In June she
was sentenced to three years of probation and fined
$1,500 on a second DUI charge. 
Two Comedies from the primetime line-up are gone! ''What About Joan?'' Well, what about her? She's history. Joan Cusack's show, at 8:30 Tuesdays, has been canceled. It's the second ratings casualty of the new season, after CBS canceled Daniel Stern's ''Danny'' earlier this week. The cancellation marks part of a hasty rescheduling of ABC's Tuesday night lineup, whose dominance is threatened for the first time in years. The network is getting pounded during the first hour of prime time by Fox's ''That '70s Show'' and ''Undeclared,'' during the second hour by NBC's "Frasier'' and ''Scrubs,'' and during the third hour by CBS' ''Judging Amy.'' So for now, ABC viewers will get a double dose of ''Dharma & Greg'' from 8 to 9.
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst have been a steady couple
for a while now and are searching for a house together.
He has asked her to marry him, but the 19 year old actress
thinks she's way too young for marriage right now. You'd
think they were married a few weeks ago when Maguire and a
few pals went to a strip club without their girlfriends.
A call was made to Dunst ratting Tobey out on being in the
joint and she hit the roof, called his cellphone, read him
the riot act, and miraculously he "had to leave" a few seconds later. Jail Time for Gayheart? 
Rebecca Gayheart (''Jawbreaker'') has been charged with misdemeanor manslaughter in the death of a 9-year-old boy she hit with her car. Prosecutors declined to seek a more serious felony charge because alcohol and drugs were not a factor. On June 13, Jorge Cruz Jr. was crossing in the middle of a Hollywood street, 160 feet away from the nearest crosswalk, and though other cars had slowed to let him cross, Gayheart swerved to pass them on the left and struck the child. The 29-year-old actress faces possible fines, a year in jail, and the loss of her driver's license. NO EMMYS This Year? At a hastily assembled news conference, CBS President LES MOONVES said the decision to cancel the show was unanimous. "There was a general feeling of people feeling uncomfortable, people feeling it was not a day to celebrate. It certainly was not a day to go up there and accept the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy."
On Sunday, hours after the air attacks began in Afghanistan, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that it was scrapping the 53rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards tele-cast, scheduled for Sunday night on CBS-TV.
The Emmy Awards had originally been scheduled for Sept. 16, but were postponed following the Sept.11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. The show planned for Sunday was to have been a low-key affair -- de-emphasizing the glamour normally associated with awards shows and taking
a more serious look at the role of TV in America lives.
Also called off was the Unity Dinner, the new desig-nation given this year to the traditional Governor's Ball following the awards ceremony. The food already prepared to feed more than 2,500 guests instead went to the Midnight Mission to feed the hungry. The flower arrangements were packed up and taken to area hospitals to cheer up the ill, and Americans gathered together to honor the heroes risking their lives to maintain our freedom.
No need for the actors to fret, though. Zabel said if the ceremony is never held, the Academy will still get the awards into the hands of the winners. "If we have to drive them over to someone's house and shake hands with them, he said, we will do that."

Gwyneth Paltrow to try to rekindle their romance. Affleck's
drinking and partying is one of the main reasons the couple
broke up in the first place. Paltrow congratulated him on
his sobriety and told him she was quite happy and content
dating her current main squeeze Luke Wilson.
There's a new King of Bald...It's not Michael Jordon,
Sean Connery, Bruce Willis, or Elton John...A recent AOL
poll named Vin Diesel of The Fast and the Furious fame as
the sexiest bald man on earth. Freddie Prinze Jr. has a "no nudity" clause in his contracts
which means the cute little orange thong "he" is seen wearing in the new comedy, Summer Catch was a body-double...Prinze says the only one who gets to see his buns is fiance Sarah Michelle Gellar. Tragedy Brings Out the Good Robert De Niro -- whose production company and restaurant
ventures in TriBeCa, the neighborhood just north of the
World Trade Center, have been closed since last week's
attacks -- has helped organize a food drive to feed the
rescue workers.
EW.com reports that since last Friday, Don Pintabona, the
chef at DeNiro's TriBeCa Grill -- along with such other top
New York chefs as Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Daniel Boulus,
Charlie Palmer, and Gray Kunz -- have been providing food
for the emergency workers, 500 meals at a time, ferried to
Ground Zero by the yachts Spirit of New York and Spirit of
New Jersey.
Former folk singer Cat Stevens, now known as Yusuf Islam,
is telling fans that what the terrorists have done is not proper Islamic conduct. On his Web site, he says that "no right-thinking follower of Islam could possibly condone" the
terrorists' actions. He also sends his heartfelt condo-
lences to the families of victims. He converted to Islam 22 years ago.
Russell Crowe has been touring with his rock band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. Since he has been on tour, Crowe has been gaining weight from late night munching and drinking. His "people" are concerned and have given him some exercise equipment to work out on so he will start to drop some of the weight before it affects his career.
Russell Crow might get rave reviews when he acts, but....
One music critic said that most of Crowe's songs that he
writes sound like something John Mellencamp would bury on the B side of a record or that Bruce Springsteen would throw in the garbage......In other words....Don't give up your day job Russell... 
No More PRENUP?? In a move that is shocking men AND women all over the world,
actor Michael Douglas ripped up the prenuptial agreement
that his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones signed before their wedding. The prenup would have stopped her from getting his millions in the event of a divorce. If the couple divorces, (IF???), she stands to get at least $75 million.  Robert Downey Jr. is in the news for a good reason this week. He is teaming up with ELTON JOHN for Elton's newest Video. Premiering Thursday, August 23rd on MTV, the "I Want Love" video is the first single from Elton's new CD, 'Songs From the West Coast,' to be released in stores on October 2. The album features all-new material written by Elton and longtime collaborator BERNIE TAUPIN. A step forward in a positive direction, this is the first project for Downey since his latest sentence was handed down from a California court about a month ago. The Oscar-nominated and Emmy-nominated actor was sentenced to three years probation, including a year in a continued drug rehabilitation program, for his latest run-in with the law over drugs. The sentence was part of a no contest plea agreement to keep him out of prison.
While Robert is currently focusing on staying sober and within the confines of his probation, there's no word as to what his next project will be.
'FACTS OF LIFE' REUNION PLANNED
Most of the original cast of the TV sitcom "The Facts
of Life" have signed on to be part of a reunion show
to be taped in Canada. Variety says it's learned that
Charlotte Rae, who portrayed Mrs. Garrett; Mindy Cohn,
who was Natalie; Kim Fields, Totie on the show and
Lisa Whelchel, Blair, will be on the set next month
when filming starts in Toronto. In the show, Natalie
asks her former classmates to get together in
Peekskill, N.Y., for some advice; she's been asked
by two different men for her hand in marriage. It's
not certain if George Clooney, who played a carpenter
in the 1985-86 season, will accept an invitation to

Liz Taylor, 69, is dating actor Jeff Goldblum who is 48. The
couple met in April and Goldblum was smitten with the screen
legend. She has always been his idol and asked mutual friends to introduce them. She agreed to have dinner with him and the sparks flew between them. Liz hasn't dated since she spit with Larry Fortensky, husband number eight. Liz is telling people she may have found Mr. Right (again) and things are heating up! Ben Affleck has put on 15 pounds since giving up booze and
it's fine with him. He has been relying on food to get him
