Up and Coming Stars: Predictions Coming True!

In the past I have written 9 articles on stars that I think have potential to become HUGE successes as lead actors. I have been following their budding careers and am very happy to report they are striving as I first predicted. I wanted to report that these fine actors are indeed doing well in the entertainment industry and give a run down of where you can see them now!

1) Barry Pepper - I first noticed Pepper in 1998 in Saving Private Ryan. I could tell he had star potential. His breakout performance was in an HBO original *61. He thrived! He now has 3 big new projects in the works, The KnockAround Guys will be in theaters in 2002, We Were Soldiers which co-stars Mel Gibson also in 2002 and much to critics dismay, Pepper is starring in the sequel to Battlefield Earth with John Travolta. He is on his way up the entertainment ladder!

2) Live Schreiber - Schreiber is a diversified actor who takes on many different kinds of roles. He is probably most known for his co-starring role in Jacob the Liar with Robin Williams. He has now gone on to star in 3 movies. The first is coming to theaters in December 2001, Kate and Leopold. His next two projects are due out in 2002, Dial 9 for love and The Sum of all Fears.

3) Colin Hanks - I am an avid television viewer and that is how I first noticed Hanks. He was starring in the teenage alien show Roswell. At that time I didnt even know he was Tom Hanks son. That is a credit to his acting ability. Earlier this year his movie Get Over It was released and in January 2002 hell have another in the theaters, Orange County. Hanks character has since been killed off of Roswell, but he still makes ghostly appearances!

4) Michael Rapaport - He has to be my most favorite up and comer! He has the thick New York accent and adds such comic relief to most his roles. He is fantastic. Rapaport has had many co-starring roles, but seldom gets cast in the notable role. The co-starring place in his movies has not changed, but Rapaport faked them all out by taking a role on a popular TV series. I was so delighted to see him as the new teacher on the TV series Boston Public. He added a nice light comedic touch to this already great show!

5) Sarah Brown - The popular soap opera General Hospital lost a great asset when Brown decided to move on after more than 5 years with the show. Since then she has applied to directing school to test out her first love and has made TV appearances on NBC and PAX TVs Mysterious Ways. Look out for her!

6) Joshua Jackson - Ok, so most people know him as Pacey on the very popular teen TV show Dawsons Creek. But Josh Jackson is so much more then just Pacey. He starred in 3 popular movies, Gossip, Urban Legend and The Skulls. This skyrocketed his career. He is now going to be in The Safety of Objects with Glenn Close and Lone Star State of Mind. These will prove he is more than just a pretty face!

7) Michael Vartan - Well, if you havent guessed by now, I like pretty guys! They capture my attention, but I also see their star quality. Vartan co-starred in Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore and I had a feeling Id be seeing more of him. I was right. Soon after my up and coming article, Vartan starred in the TV mini-series The Mists of Avalon. He also starred in One Hour Photo with Robin Williams, due out early in 2002. But thats not all this actor has been up to. He also signed on to co-star opposite Jennifer Garner in ABCs Alias. It is said to be the hottest show of the season, and I agree!

8) Jonathan Jackson - This is another success story out of the soap opera General Hospital. Jackson starred as Lucky Spencer for 7 years, winning many awards for his role. He left behind daytime TV and has gone on to make a TV movie and has some big screen features due out soon. On the Edge is due out in 2002, a Disney movie Tuck Everlasting is also due out in 2002 and his biggest role yet in Insomnia with Al Pacino and Robin Williams is due out at the end of 2002. I stated in my earlier article that I thought this young actor would be HOT HOT HOT! Im sticking to that!

9) Coltin Scott - The latest article I wrote was on this General Hospital star. It was written only a month ago, so not much has changed for Scott. He is avidly working on his music career aside from GH. I truly believe that it is on soap operas that youll find a majority of the up and coming stars. Demi Moore, Jack Wagner, Meg Ryan and Brad Pitt all started here, so its likely well see many more stars come from soaps.

I hope you enjoyed this recap of where my picks for the hottest stars are now. It is interesting for me to watch these stars grow into super-stars! I hope it is for you too!
